We believe that school is one of the most important places where kindness and all moral values are practiced, shared and strengthened. After learning kindness within ourselves and our families, our school contexts become the next step where we interact with others, build friendships and learn to live together respectfully.
At school, we experience social life more actively and learn how to communicate, cooperate and support one another. Kindness at school helps our students develop positive friendships based on empathy, respect, tolerance, sharing and understanding. Friendly behaviors such as helping friends, listening to each other carefully, including others and solving problems peacefully create a safe and happy learning environment for everyone.
Also, friendship teaches our students that differences form a richness and that everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect. When kindness is encouraged at our schools, it strengthens friendships and helps students feel important, valued, confident and connected. In this way, kind actions at school grow into strong relationships and contribute to a more peaceful, inclusive and caring community in the future.
Our students have done a great job in creating a monthly calendar full of kind acts!
Through this activity, students have not only shared ideas but also developed important skills such as collaboration, creativity, responsibility, and empathy. By planning and reflecting on kind actions, they have become more aware of their role in building a better and more caring world.
